Roger Fletcher just posted on Facebook of Jerry's passing:

"JERRY BRIGGS -- We lose another river legend - a great guy who made significant contributions to river dory deign and use. In addition to his Rogue River Special, he was tapped by Martin Litton to pick up where Keith Steele left off by building his Briggs dory for running the Colorado. Thirty-plus of these dories still ply that river."
