The frame is about completed. Now I need to figure out how to turn it over. It's a bit heavier now with all the assembly completed. I can't just roll it over without dinging up the sides. So I guess it need to be lifted or maybe hoisted up with ropes. I know this has been done before so maybe someone can help. Thanks in advance.

Friends. And beer. Lots of both. Works every time! If you're worried about the sides, lay down some old tires or innertubes covered with a blanket or two. Then have a beer.

I use an old dog bed

How about a garbage bag or two full of empty Beer Cans. (No Dog).

lots and lots of cardboard boxes. lay em thick and use the biggest boxes you can find. An Appliance Store is a good go to for the used cardboard. When done you can toss the used cardboard into your recylce heap. I agree with the beer.

Not sure the state of your boat (in terms of completion), so I'm not sure if this will work for you or not, but here is how I do it with 2 people:

Tie a rope to the gunwale (hand rail) between the oar block and the nearest rib.  Then throw the rope over the opposite gunwale.  Walk around to the other side of the boat and have your buddy stand across from you, where the rope is tied.

Now that you guys are facing each other on opposite sides of the boat, put your beers down.

Then you stand on the gunwale on your side, grab the rope, and lean back a bit.  Have your buddy lift on his side.  You will easily turn the boat up on it's edge.  Then hold it there while your buddy walks around to your side.  Next, the two of you can lower the lifted edge and voila, the boat is flipped over.  As others have suggested, finish by resuming beer drinking.

I don't have a dog but I like the beer idea.

I roll my boat over on an old blanket, It works great no scratches!
