Hey all,
What is your opinions on the best line to use for the rope seats? I know there is a lot of line out there and any info would be great.
Low stretch, or do you want it to stretch, nylon or poly or something else.
I drilled 5/16" holes in the chairs and now I don’t know if 5/16" line will fit, or do I need 1/4". And I didn’t want to order 240 feet of something that isn't so great, so here I am.
Thanks
scott

Scott, I also asked this question some time back ( July 1 forum, one can go back over all these forums, which I discovered later, also check out forums of May 27th by D Barr and March 16th by Den), had 1 reply. My Don Hill plans call for 1/4" nylon, 50 feet for $7. I used a nylon polyester mix of yellow and black braid, thought the colors went well with the natural wood though I am a Bears fan,... sorry ; it has had my behind on it one time and I need to retie my bows at the turnbuckle. You must be told I have not been on the water yet because I am finishing the trailer. I really want a deep blue and orange in 5/16" for the seat and smaller in same colors for the oar lock wraps. Can't find it and white nylon would be cheaper...keep reminding my self it is for fishing not a sail boat. Steve
I found I bottomed out with stretchy nylon and went with Dacron instead. Seems to be keeping my but in the air now.
