Hey Jonathan... nice boat and nice "pics" - love that Tatman!!! I lived in Green Bay for a couple of years and traveled the U.P. as a salesman. Is Door County still as pretty as I remember it??
I live in the western end of the state, but I've traveled and fished a little in northeast WI and in the U.P. and love both. The Menomonee River is a terrific drift boat destination.
I don't think Door County changes much. Parts of it are terribly commercialized while other parts of it remain pleasantly undeveloped. Three friends and I went fly fishing for carp on the flats on the lakeside last summer. Hadn't done it before, but would happily do it again and plan to do that next summer.
Thanks on the FJ comment... it was my "winter project" before the boat. It's a pretty rare one - 1983, last year they were made. Toyota only sent 300 over to the U.S. that year. It is as close to "Original" as I could make it.
Now it's a "Steelhead Chasin Machine" and will go just about anywhere.
Jonathon,
Thanks for the note. I think you can get one of those frying pans from Cabela's. That is where I got my last one. I live in Big Rapids, MI. I have a place on the Muskegon. I have always needed to be near water......
Jonathan, Steve Sobba with a question in regards to your trailer modification foum answer a few months back using 3" tubing, .0625 wall thickness and stone tube bushing? Can you elaborate on the stone tube bushing arrangement for me ? I am building my own trailer and would like your comments. Thanks Steve
