Until this afternoon I was pretty sure I'd be ready for spring runoff...still might, if I don't burn the damn thing...pissed me off. Tried to get started on the gunnels. using 1" oak, doesn't bend well, plus theres a scarf right in the middle. cut the inwales too short somehow on top of that. not sure what to do now...other than go break something.

Jeff,

The latest photos are looking good. Will you be ready for spring? I just applied for an April San Juan. I hope to send the apps out for Ladore and 2010 Grand around Feb 1. If you get her ready we can always meet up for a Green River Float below Flaming Gorge when they ramp up for the peak on the Yampa. The flow always kicks up to about 4500 for about 10 days and no permits are required all the way to the Ladore launch ramp. It's about 35 miles. We could get a few days in that way and the fly fishermen drop off a bit when the flow goes up.

Are you up for the Grand with this dory when we finally get the permit?

Larry
