Hello Jeff, yes built this one in 2001. I've had it down the Grand 5 times and getting ready to go again in July., Yampa, Salmon and bunch of other places. I used some sketches that Andy Hutchinson (Durango boat builder) sent me back then. Looks like you're doing a great job on your decked dory. I suppose with less rocker it will track better but maybe not quite as responsive on the pivot. Depends on how much stuff you put in the hatches. With a full load in the Briggs, I'm probably around 1300 lbs or so, and it gets tough to move around anyway. In big, heavy whitewater, that's kind of to your advantage though. So I think you'll have a real stable boat there.

nice...did you build this one? what plans/lines did you use?
I'm just finishing my ww dory, turned out a little "flatter" bow-to-stern than I thought it would. looks like yours has a higher bow. how do you think the (slight) difference in shape will affect its performance in heavy whitewater?
