A friend and I did a 2 day drift on the upper Kootenay River. Camped at this spot and he took this picture. He does this as a hobby. Came out pretty nice.

Dan,
Best time to make a run and fish is late August - October. Best water is above Canal Flats as below the river get wider and take outs are a long ways apart.
