- Grew up in my dads river rafting company, spending day after day harassing guides and getting on the river.I have been a guide for 15 years all over the west and have settled in to the Idaho scene. I live and work on the clearwater and it's tributaries, mostly the Lochsa and upper Selway. I have been obsessed with wooden boats since my first trip in a dory in the early 90s. Always begging and borrowing other peoples boat, I decided to finally build my own. I have been in a study and plan stage since I bought plans from Roger a number of years ago, but never took the first step. I started looking for a boat to buy , so I could get a feel for a good boat before building one.I just recently found this gem and now officially have my first wooden boat!

Hi Liam,
My husband was the builder of the boat you now own, and I am so very happy to see you are the proud owner! This was a most devastating experience, and after all his long hard work on this beauty I was surprised and saddened to hear him say he did not want any part of it any more. So, I am so happy for you and especially so happy to see your progression, and for keeping it alive....thank you!
