love building boats built a 16 ft in high school guided on north santiam river built a hydroplane in school built a 22 ft dorey in the 1970s and a 16ft drift boat in 2002 now im having trouble trying to find marine ply

Hello Loren, if you are looking for Douglas Fir marine ply it is as hard to find good clear wood as it is our youth. ( I'm darn close in age to you) Most of us have had to move to Sapelle or Meranti, both woods are relatives of Mahogany. Place a post on the page and ask the great folks here where they suggest.
