In response to Gavin's comment #3 regarding my last blog post:
Yes I'm still in PA; in so far as any potential internet burglars may be concerned. Sorry we couldn't connect on the Lehigh river, all I can say is you HAVE to get fishing with me and Jimmy - the sulphur hatch is really bringing out some strange browns; they're taking # 2/0 creek chub flies. We needed some really big tippet.
Truth be known, I've been cheating on the other woman with my ex- the 17' deep V sylvan super-sportster (known amongst the dum dums as "A.M. Radio"). She's all aluminum (sorry woodies) and a little out dated, but she runs real fine on the Joppa flats.
Striper have been a bit hard to find, but we did get into them from time to time as the picture will attest. That day, Jimmy boated three other keeper striper in additition to some schoolies that day on the ol' sluggo pattern.
So, If I were in PA (which I may or may not be by now; sleeping with my neighbor's rotwiller and my 40 cal under my pillow) this is what the now finished interior of the drift boat may look like.
I can't wait to go to massachussets and see old plum island again.
Furthermore, I sure hope old Jimmy doesn't get a big old treble hook stuck into his finger (and then ripped out by the still squirming striper).
And I sure as hell hope we don't run out of beer on the last night and resort to drinking the previous tennants left-over twisted tea (what ever the heck that is).
Most of all, I hope my stuff (especially the wood boat) is there when we get back.
