I've been lurking here for years, admiring all the great craftsman and their boats. I've been chasing steelhead from Alaska to the Great Lakes for the past 30 years and have fished out of many jet sleds and drift boats. During that time I have never found anything as nice as a wooden drift boat and have always wanted to own one. As of last Saturday I became the owner of my first wooden boat. A beautiful little pram built by Jason Knight. Plans are to spend many hours on the Muskegon in Michigan with her. Being such a novice I'm sure I will have many questions about the care of the boat and ideas of a few little things I'd like to add. Thank you Jason. Robert00g0g_ddtgIv48ww9_600x450.jpeg

Thanks Rick, Yes the position of the rod in Greg's holder is close to what I have in mind. I was thinking of the butt of the rod positioned at one end of the boat just below the rail with the rod running under the rail and over the top of the side tackle trays on each side. Then the tip could rest at the other end up near the rail in some kind yoke or something to keep it from moving side to side and extend out past the boat. One rod on each side. I hope I am making sense. Robert
