Hello,
I was just thinking about something boat related (while I am supposed to be thinking about work)...
When we were at the McKenzie boat show, I remember talking with a gentleman who had made it so his floorboards were threaded to accepts poles - so they would convert into streamside tables... He had a realllly sharp looking boat - I believe it was a Sapelle boat. Forgive me for not knowing who I am referring to - I am from out east and had a hard time remembering the names of all the great people I met that day.

If it helps - he put a hole in the bottom of his boat (near the transom) Randy - you probably know who this is bc I think you sold him a piece of wood to fix his bottom...

The point of the inquiry being I really liked his idea and would like to see how it was executed.
I have a few pics, but they really didn't turn out very well of this particular detail.

Thanks!

Jason

Jason,
Guilty as charged on both counts... repairing the hole in my boat and making the floorboards so they could turn into a streamside table. I made the table legs out of thick oak "dowels" and then I bought both "male and female" parts at the local Home Depot in the "table making department". It works pretty well - I used it several times this summer and fall... most recently on the Rogue a couple of weeks ago.
I'd be happy to post a picture, if you'd like.
By the way, nice job on your computer table... very cool.
Greg
Yes a picture would be most helpful - I was not sure if that was you! Very cool, thanks for the info. I liked the table idea for camping and doing streamside lunches...
