Pulled a whole load of wood from my supplier on Friday.  4 sheets of 12mm Meranti, 4 sheets 6mm Meranti, 3 sheets 1/2 Fir and 200 Linear feet of CVG doug fir in the rough. (Why so much?- You think these are the last two boats I'm building?! haha! I "pad" the pile every time I go to the lumber yard.)

Today I started.  Ran the fir through the planer.  WOW.  Nice looking stuff.  Still need to get it through the jointer, but it is fresh!

Cut my plywood to begin scarfing enough for 4 side panels.  I am building two at a time- twins if you will.

Today Kicks it off.  Follow here and at my blog from time to time.  www.thtchronicles.blogspot.com

Hey! how did she get in here?! Good girl is laying me an egg!

Awesome, Dave... can't wait to follow your progress!!  Nice lookin bird.  Wish you could come out to the Boat Festival in April - would love to buy you a beer and "chat".

I like the idea of building two boats at once:  Double the fun, but you'd think there would be some synergies so you wouldn't have double the work.  Even if you did, you'd still have two boats at the end of the process!  Looking forward to your progress posts!
I can smell the sawdust from here . . .
