for $125.00 i would make it work if it is close to the right size. a new baker is $1400.00. rear to hitch is 13'8" and 64" wide and approximately 40" from the rear to the center of the axle on the old trailer out back. the winch stand assembly is adjustable to fit different boat sizes, I thank that is normal on all drift boat trailers.

Sandy,
What is the distance from the hitch to the axle?
The tongue on this trailer looks way too short is my main concern... I do not want the boat to hang waaaay off the back.
He said the trailer is 5 ft. in between the fenders - so that should be good.
He also said I was crazy. lol

Jason,

Man I don't know about that one, looks pretty rough, but anything can be made to work. Just depends on how much risk you want to put your boat at going down the road 60 mph.

That being said I haul mine on an American Whitewater driftboat trailer and this trailer is bomber, fully boxed welded steel. I have beat this trailer mercilessly getting my Willie in and out of some terrible launches, and it just keeps on rolling down the road perfectly. Its not cheap, but with the torsion bar axle and standard bearing buddies its also very easy to maintain.

I took some rough measurements, I didn't have a helper to hold the other end of the tape so these ARE NOT exact, but should give you some idea of the dimensions of it.

136" from axle center to ball center.
40" from axle center to rear bunk
70" bunk length
60" bunk width
roller sits 4" from rear bunk

Thanks guys! I appreciate the info.
I will note these measurements and use them as a rough way to see if I am in the ballpark...
This trailer is probably too much work - but this is good to know if I encounter another that looks close.

And Mike, you put it into perspective there - about the 60 mph thing! : )
I am spending too much time on the boat to skimp on the thing that carries it down the road safely, right!!?!
I will be looking - I will need one soon!

Well it would be a great excuse to see some awesome water thats for sure. Why dont you plan a pick-up may 8-10 and you can ride front seat in my boat on a Rogue canyon trip??

Jason,

Go for the real deal trailer. I converted a V-hull trailer for my first boat and it was hell. I finally found a used but essentially new Hyde trailer by chance in Michigan and got it for 700 bucks. It was direct form Hyde when they had a shop in Muskegon. It was brandy new when they left ID to drive a boat on it to MI to a customer that already had a trailer. They couldn't sell it new, so I got it 1/2 price. I happened to call the day they got it in. I never looked back. Your boat will take more abuse on a shoddy trailer than it will in the water.
