Brad,

Ray Heater suggested this to us several years ago. We have done this on several of our boats and we think it helps to reduce the fracturing of ply wood when you take a big hit to the bottom. The glass can be put on prior to installing the bottom, and this makes for a very neat job. We have also used kevlar and glass on repairs where bottom panels have been fractured. Laying the material in between the frames to make the repair works fine but is not as neat as doing the entire floor before installing it.

I am thinking that I might not glass the ?ribs?. I am not sure if I used that term right. I am talking about the "ribs" that run from the back to front, vice versa, along the floor. What I am considering is installing the glass in between the "ribs". How do you feel about the look of the glass? is there any thing you have found to make it more appealing?
