McKenzie River Alert

For those of us rowing wooden boats, be advised that at the low water level now on the McKenzie, there is a tough spot right by the ODOT gravel storage just below Greenwood Drive.  As always, the river wants to push you into a root wad on the right bank after the pour off.  But now, when you just miss the root wad, you can hit some nasty submerged rocks on the mid-to-left channel.  I won't be taking passengers through there until the river rises.

What's the line... get as close to the root wad as possible and miss the rocks??  I'm guiding that section tomorrow.  Thanks.  GH
