Good morning folks.  I look forward to reading about everyone's adventures in their boats and learnign a lot over teh next few months.  Between neck surgery in teh spring and trying to buy a house, it's been since May, most of 2011 has found me in a holding pattern for teh year. once i do find a house, the motorcycles will get pushed to the back of teh garage and my boat building will begin, hopefully that'll be over this winter.  The susquehanna isn't teh friendliest place for wooden boats but plenty of water i fish is. I didn't feel right lurking without introductions.  Will be reading and reading and reading to try and get all of my questions answered before just posting something.  So far looks like y'all have been very helpful to folks and I hope to contribute with my experiences over the winter.

So hey everyone, I'm a smallmouth fishermen from Central PA.  do a lot of whitewater in my rafts and fly fishing has become a favorite over the last few years.  From pike and smallies in the ADK to carp and gar in the south. even our tiny wild brook trout in the mid-state. But there is nothing like a lotic smallie runnign you through teh riffles and rocks.

Some great boats on here folks and I'm pretty jealous of the folks out in big sky country and lookign to add some east-coast flair to teh mix.

thanks, Brian

Welcome to the club.  There are a few Pee-Ayers here. Me included. Im in SWPA, near the Yough.
Thanks Dave, find myself out that way a bunch with our paddling friends.  we stay 5 minutes from teh upper yough put-in

The upper Yough is in Maryland, not PA.  The Lower Yough is in Ohiopyle PA.

and our cabin is in West Virginia, just west of the upper yough put in on Sang Run Road, which is in maryland, yes. and about 35 minutes to teh lower yough put in, in ohiopyle, PA.
