Boredom leads to ideas, ideas lead to projects, projects lead to more $$$ spent on boats

Was bored lately and the 10 yr old (spoiled as such) took an a heightened interest in boats to the point where she was asking me when "We're building the next one?"

I looked at my pile of lumber (extras from building two drift prams) and I'm 90% there on materials.  Lucky me.

So.. she wants a small single seater kayak-canoe-type boat.  So do I.

The goal here is to use the wood I have and make it as easy as possible to make.  I'm going with what I know and what I have, so it will be a light, ply-on-frame boat.

So far... 11''6", 32" beam, 24" floor.  11" side height, 3 frames, 1/4" sides, 3/8" bottom.

This link might give some good outfitting ideas.  Lots of pictures of what others have built.  http://www.unclejohns.com/boat/

Dave, You are a Gentleman and a Scholar (and a Father)...

Sounds fun.  But it looks like you're getting down to the worm.  I'm guessing you'll need at least one more bottle to finish that project.

The worm is there!  haha.  nice effect, huh?

I'm familiar with the unclejohns pee rows... I built one for a fellow 10 years ago or so. This will be a similar boat.
