Very nice. But I did not say anything about bending.

Sorry I had a comment on another forum about the bendaliity of red oak.

Both "good" epoxies and varnishes  have UV inhibiters in them to protect the surface. We have also used polyeurthanes with much success.

Should not have used the words "water proof". They do not call water the universal solvent for nothing.  Maybe,  I should have used some what water resistant!

Please remember most of the prams are graged stored out of the sun and not left in the water for lenghtly periods.

Those boats look so nice I would hate to see them spoiled by anything like staining or cloudy epoxy.

I have tried to PM you but you need to accept the invitation first.

Arnie,

Nice looking nets!  Where do you get the nets?  If you don't mind me asking.

Hi Phillip,

I taught a class in Port ludlow for our fly fishers and wood workers on how to make landing nets.  We made them for our friends and family....fun project.  The class was on more on how to bend the oak and not make fire wood!   If your interested in the net bags you can purchase them on the net.
