I've been looking at plans all over the web. I've notices they all seem to fall into one of two camps. either frame construction or plywood without frames (stitch and glue right?) so whats the pros and cons of each? which is tougher? lighter?..
Paulv, rather than reinvent the wheel take a look at a discussion / forum started by Felipe G. It is on the 9th page of the forums and has a great discussion that might help you visualize and understand the differences. While I don't have a completed boat to show you I do have a dissected boat parked in front of my house if you want to see it. The tradition of the framed boats and the desire to replicate a boat my uncle once had pushed me in that direction.
As you have found there are beautiful examples of each style visible on the web, making it hard to decide which is best for you. The discussion I listed brings out points for each type of boat and can hopefully help you determine which is right for you.
