I remember reading that one should epoxy the end grains of one's ply wood. Does this apply for oiled interiors as well? I used hydrotek so do you think the water will still be really troublesome?
Working on finishing up the interior. Really exciting seeing all the little pieces coming together. Now if only I could get my oars!
Ben, since any plywood endgrain allows access to the interior of the plywood sealing it with epoxy will reduce the chances that water will be introduced. It's probably like a dentist once told me, you only have to floss the teeth you want to keep! Keep us informed, you are asking some good questions!
