Hi-

My name is Mark from Columbia Missouri.  I can't thank this group enough for providing such an amazing "guide" to use on my Baker 17X54 build.  Getting ready to flip it soon and start on the inside.  My questions are two;  I've laid a ton of coats of graphite and epoxy on the bottom and it is pretty smooth but not glass-like yet.  I think it is time to call it.  Any real problems there?  And the second is are there any of the easylift stem eyes still for sale?

Thanks!

The graphite will "level" out with time and use. Plus once it is turned over you won't be looking at it!

Randy Dersham has to answer the easylift stem eye question.

Hello Mark, I'm Roscoe and live in Warrensburg Mo. Getting ready to build two Don Hill 17FF's. might hit you up for some advice if that's ok? :)

Sounds great!  Enjoy the builds.  Never too soon to think about the trailer.  For me it was almost harder to find and modify a trailer than the boat build.  good luck.

Being right down the road from you in Warrensburg, where do you plan on using your boat at? I spend most my time on Taneycomo but I can't wait to travel southern Mo floating different rivers.

White and Norfork in Arkansas and Taney and North Fork in Missouri should be perfect for drifting.  Considering these waters, in hindsight I could have built a slightly better design with more flat and less rocker like a Z-Drifter.  Always room for another boat!
