looking for a guide in Eugene area with a double ender

Hello all

I'm writing to ask if you can help me with a small quest that my father has sent me on.  I recently purchased an older Tatman that I'm restoring, posted a few q's to the forum about it a while back. This has awoken an old dream in my father who grew up in the Eugene area (he's now 78) and had a drifter when he was young.  He has asked me to find a guide who will take us through Marten's Rapids.  He did not make this part of the request but all my life he's spoken with such reverence of "the old Woody Hindman double enders" that I've decided to try and find a guide with a wooden double ender.  So, if anyone knows of a guide in the Eugene area with a wooden double ender who knows Marten's Rapids that can help an old man live an old dream please contact me, thanks.

Give me a call.  I live two miles above Marten's.  I am sure I can hook you up with a guide, probably one rowing wood.  I have a non-licencensed friend who is VP of the McKenzie River Guides Association who has a 1 or 2 year old wood double-ender made by Stan Steele.  David Jensen, 541 896 3395.

Meant to write builder was Steve Steele, not his brother Stan.

Jeff, while Greg Hatten doesn't row a double ender he does a great job of guiding clients on the McKenzie.
