new boat
I wasnt really looking for a new boat to buy but couldnt pass this up. I drove down to salem yesterday & picked up a 14' tatman for $675 with no trailer but 3 oars, has a dirks anchor system, uhmw shoe ect. It is in very good shape really. I will need to refinish the interior as the varnish is flaking a little but the outside is in great shape, no checking.& there is supposed to be a small weep in the bottom but no rot that I can find. It was kept inside. I am still working on replacing my chine caps on my 17 1/2 ' Tatman so had given up getting down the skagit before it closed on sunday but now I can hit the last day plus play with my new toy. My 1st thought when I drove up to look at it was "it's so cute". Compared to my bigger boat it looks so small. I am very excited to take it out. I have only had pram style boats in this size range before. If i can figure out how I will load some pics... so far I am striking out on that so I guess I will have to ask my IT person/wife to give it a shot. Just had to tell somebody....

To post the picture I first located the file so I could find it. In your case I copied it to the desktop. Then I clicked on the small icon above the box where I am currently typing. It is just to the right of the small icon that says "LINK". That will open a box that reads: "ADD IMAGE". You can choose from FROM MY COMPUTER or FROM A URL. In my case I chose FROM MY COMPUTER and clicked on the Browse button and went to the file Desktop where I then clicked on the appropriate picture file that I wanted to post. A double click started the process of copying the picture so it could be posted on the website server.
When your picture will be posted it will be full sized and there will be no clear margin around it because I didn't select any "padding." I can chose to post the picture to the left right or centered on the page. I could also make a picture larger or smaller based on the width in pixels that I select.
Click okay and the picture will be copied to the post you are working on. Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

Took it down the skagit yesterday with my youngest granddaughter. boat is a lot of fun, rows well, no leaks. oars are 8 1/2 which was fine but 9 will work better. They have a rubber collar that has a ridge to keep the oars upright...didnt really like that & in shallow water it will hamper being able to "feather{" the oar but I can see how the collars will make it easier for a beginner to learn to row as having the oar oriented automaticly will be just one more thing they dont have to think about. City light was dumping water & the river was bank to bank so fishing was terrible but we did see one nice 20# bright buck caught. Nice sunny day...planning a sol duc trip now. This is a good 2 person boat & will be a excellent one person platform... still think its cute.

You got a great deal, I'm happy for you. You can unscrew the oar rights and reverse them with the "key" pointing toward the handle or you can also just cut that part off. I heard there are a few fish in the Hoh now.
I see you figured out how to post pictures too.

Thanks rick, have to admit though I had to ask my external hard drive to handle the posting bit. I see by the creel counts the hoh has a few & the sol duc was up to about 2 fish per fisherman checked. Also heard the wynoochie is doing very well.

Is that hard drive a Western Digital SO model?My wife has one just like that, so does my mother-in-law, except hers is a WD S-in-L version. I wish I could be on the Hoh with a couple of my friends, they are on the water as I type this.
