Hello all. Im a new member with a new boat, just finished this week. Want to thank everyone who contributes advice to this forum, I used it often over past year. Boat frame  dimensions taken from Roger Fletchers book on drift boats and river dories, seats and interior made up on the fly.  Anxious to get it into some water, hopefully mid week. Also hope to bring it to boat show in Wilson this Saturday. Try to load some pictures this week, not too computer saavy, maybe i can corner a third grader to help. They should know. Anyway, thanks again for all the help, even if it wasn't intended for me....

Thanks chris, yeah Im tickled with it. the dry storage box under rowers seat isnt really dry.Thought I could but it just wasnt gonna happen so I put a piece of pegboard in bottom for floor and I will keep a few items in there in small dry bags. Small area under rear seat for a repair kit. Shouldnt need it though. Right?

Wow is right!!!

Congrats on a BEAUTIFUL boat  :-)

Thanks Vance, anxious to get it out

Hello Rod- Welcome to this forum and congratulations on finishing your exquisite boat.  You barely missed the Wooden Boat Festival in Vida, OR hosted by Randy Dersham and others.  I would recommend attending next year.  It's a great venue.

Question for you:  Where and when is the boat show you are referencing attending in Wilson? this Saturday?

Thanks Paul. The boat show I'm attending is the 13th annual snake river boat show. It is advertised on this web page home page under events. Wilson is just outside Jackson Wyo.

Right on!  Have fun.  Hope the weather is good for you.

Rod,

Very Impressive workmanship.  You have a fine looking boat and it will turn a lot of heads.  The exterior color complements the natural wood very nicely.  Hope you get to enjoy it for many years.

Rod,

I second everything said by Phil.  That is a great looking boat.  Good job!

I will try to attend the boat show this weekend and hope to see you there.

Guy,

Please don't forget your camera for those of us who live too far away to make it this year.  I hope you or someone will post pics of the Wooden Drift Boats there.
