I tried to solve three problems with one boat application...
1. Create a way to lock my oars to the boat when I'm biking my own shuttle
2. Find a way to keep the oars from clanging together during transport
3. My oars rested on the passenger seat during transport and were causing a depression in the foam
Hope you like the solution I came up with... only thing I'm missing is a brass hasp or lock of some type to keep it secure - that will be my Christmas scavenger hunt.... ha.

Thanks Jordan... this rain is going push a lot of winter steelhead up the river, eh??

Greg,
Where did you get the oar condums, Bi Mart? Do they come in sizes, or just Grande?
David
Hi David,
Sawyer Oars put those on for me - I don't know the size... don't think Bi-Mart ever carried them.
Hope all is well up on the river...
Have a great Christmas.

Hey Greg, check out some of your wife's luggage, she might have some additional pieces to donate!
Happy Holidays!

Hi Rick - yup - got my eye on a leather jacket that will become obsolete at about 8 a.m. Dec 25th... I think I can make something for the boat from that..... stay tuned - ha.

Thanks Randy.... and thanks for the "scraps"!! I'm working on the side split today and over the Christmas weekend - it's coming together pretty nicely. It's going to look like it has a "stitch" in the side - but it won't be too noticeable, I hope. Gives a whole new meaning to "stitch & glue"... ha ha.

Very cool work Greg! Love seeing new designs!

Thanks man. I'm working on the side split now... very slow going. At this rate, it should be ready in 12 months or so... ha ha. Maybe by the Boat Festival 2012.
Hope you had a great Christmas.
I made band-aids out of oak and applied pressure to try and pop the sides back out in alignment... it worked.
