Phil- Unfortunatly this guideboat will be stripped. Maybe some day when I have more time I can traditionaly plank one. For this boat I used Port Orford Ceder for the ribs and stems and will strip with western red ceder. It should weigh around 45 pounds when completed. For the strongback I got the idea from a boat builder from upstate NY. Thanks for the comments.

John,

Impressive looking boat, it has some beautiful lines.  Are you going to "Strip It"?   What kind of Wood.  I like your strongback floor mounting.  The ability to tilt it is a good idea and will make sanding, glassing, etc a lot easier.
