Driftboat trailer

Finishing a 16 footer with 52" wide bottom. Thinking of buying a 5X8 Utility trailer (Northern Tool) and modifying. Anybody do this and if so any tips or pics? I am in Lancaster, PA and driftboat trailer are seen here about as often as we see a wild panda.

Thanks for any help

Oops.  I should have looked at your photos first.  You obviously found a trailer!

Stephen,

Did you manage to find a trailer that works for you?   I wish I would have seen your post earlier.  Apologies.  Let me know.   I had the same problem here and ended up making my own.  The guy I purchased plans from told me that he gets a LOT of calls from Midwesterners needing trailers and said I should start building them for people.    .....ahh... if I only had the time!.... :)

What length oar did you end up with?

Mike
