56 year old-retired surfer (42 years exp)--bought a used wooden drift boat good condition-- took it and my wife to jaskson hole jumped into the snake river at south park landing---and scared the crap out of myself--then I started asking questions about river rafting---I guess a rubber raft is safer than a wood boat--would still like to drift in " my woodie" but not quite sure where !!!
Boats I own:
mckensey /14' metal J-boat

Welcome Thomas.
Just ask questions on the forum or post photos if you have them. There are many people here with different levels of experience. They will get you on the right track as far as learning to read water in the river and becoming an expert drift boat river runner. It's not that hard but it does take a lot of respect for the river and a little bit of experience.
