Wooden Boat People

2016 Mid-West Wooden Boat Float and Outing
Last year there was some discussion about having a Wooden Boat Outing somewhere in the East. I have had discussions with some folks here and on other forums about having one here in the Mid-West, possibly Michigan.
If the is anyone interested in participating or to help put one together please add you comments here. We'll see what interest there is and go from there. Don't be shy!

It's all set for June 11, 2016. We'll float the Muskegon River from Thornapple Launch to Newaygo, Mich's Henning Park on the river where we'll get together and display all the wooden boats, canoes, kayaks and of course Wooden Drift Boats.
PM me if you can make it or have any questions. I am hoping we'll see some of the Eastern drift boats there.

You know I`m all in. We have the best fishery and plenty of awesome rivers here in Mich. I know there are a bunch of Mich people on this forum. I`m gonna check with a fly shop in town here, Northern Anglers, see if they would be interested. They sponsor the Movie tour here in Traverse, which is pretty good BTW

I wish so but that might be a bit difficult with the way things have been going here in Michigan. The Spring spawn might be too soon to pull it off and the fall Salmon Steel head runs might be too much to expect to put a bunch more boats in the popular rivers. We don't have that many big or long ones like there out West.
I am thinking it might be better in June, July or August. There's still a lot of variables we need to consider but with some help it can be done.
