Hey everyone,
Thought I would post a few pics taken this weekend.

I managed to get the floorboards fit using the barrel bolt method. So basically each floor section can be popped out by simply releasing 2 barrel bolts. I built a mount for the barrel section into the frame itself, and then mounted the receiver section on the bottom of the floor slat stringer. You can see it better in the pics. I still need to sand out the floor boards and get them oiled. Eventually I would like to install some threaded parts on the floor board bottoms so that they can be used as tables. (Thanks for the inspiration on that detail Greg/Randy.)

The interior got two coats of oil this weekend as well. I am using Penofin marine oil - and it seemed to work well. The first coat I slathered on and wiped up the excess. The second coat I applied the oil and wet sanded the oil as much as I could tolerate and buffed the resulting "oil paste" off with a rag. I only spent the time to do this on the floor and sides - I did not wet sand the oil into the frames. (Got tired of oily hands and chewed up finger tips after a couple hours.) Is 2 coats of oil enough?

Reinstalled the seat pipes and wood braces that hold them up.

I also made a game-time decision to oil the frames for the rower and rear passenger seat, along with the exterior and frame for the front storage seat. I already varnished the lid and seat backs which I had planned to do all along - but I am really liking the look of the oil on the interior, so I decided to do the remaining seat areas in the manner. Still deciding on whether to varnish or oil the horns/kneeboard piece... The flyline deck is varnished to prevent water stains etc up there. Overall, I like the look of the oiled interior a lot. I have to imagine it gets richer with age.

I strung the rear rope seat and tightened it up with the turnbuckles.
Sat on the seat for a while looking at the work so far, and called it a day.

Very nice my friend. I knew you would like the look of the full on oil interior! I hope to see it on the river this fall.. I will be up for cast and blast in Grayling.

Looks great Jason. There is nothing like sitting in that rope seat for the first time with a frosty adult beverage and looking at all your hard work.

Haha - Yes I am going to slap some oil on my face in place of after shave from now on...

Isn't boat oil the main ingredient in Old Spice? Hmmm, not likely.

Looks great Jaybo!
You've been smelling pretty oily lately, but that's OK, I like it!
