Guys,
I had a very special visit yesterday. Roger Fletcher and his wife visited us all the way from their home in Oregon to my home in Pennsylvania. It's been a ten year friendship. We have never met face to face until yesterday.

About time you guys got together. Dave, Roger sent me a text message about this. He was as excited about the meeting as you. Now we just have to get you back to the "old country" (that's what I call Oregon) to see where these boats were born. Sooner or later it all comes full circle.

It was a special visit indeed. Dave's blessed with a great spouse and three lovely girls. Had it not been for Dave's interest in the McKenzies and his willingness to test the efficacy of one of my plans, the Trapper would not have made it into the book. He also has a creative side as witnessed by his little pram, Z's River Pram. That boat is generating a lot of interest. He's also one hell of a fly tier and fisherman. I wish there had been time to experience a tight line or two with him. We'll see him out here one of these days. Thanks for your hospitality, Dave.
