I recently purchased a 1915 Craftsman Bungalow in Wallace Idaho. Were keeping most of the kitchen which we think was remodeled in the 1940's. I did tear out part of the kitchen wall that held an old wall oven. The wall was made of 1 1/4' thick x 8' x 3' fir plywood. This stuff is in great condition, tight grain and has 13 ply's in it. Not sure what I am going to do with it, but I will find a use. They don't make it like they use too.
That's for sure. People who build anything out of wood these days really have to pay a premium to get good stock. Marine Fir plywood, good lucks with that.
