Finally finished the 18 ft Don Hill

Just finished building my 18 ft Don Hill. Special thanks to Sandy for all the advice!

She's a keeper. Nice work. As has been mentioned, I am also considering building one of these.

Thanks. Great set of plans. We ended up doing quite a few things different. We did a fiberglass bottom. The interior of the boat was mostly the brain child of Dan my boat building partner. Both seats that you see in the photo are actually boxes with hinged lids. The way the front seat was hung is a little different. Dan decided to use a wooden dowel. He liked the look of wood vs. steel. At first I was skeptical but it seems to be very stong. After the front seat was in we found it was a little high. Not sure how that happened. The seat was already epoxied into place so an adjustment was made by making the seat rails extend up above the seat. This makes it so the average sized guy is sitting with his legs bent 90 degrees.

In the end it is kind of a frankenboat. It is a Don Hill...with lots of Tatman influence thanks to Sandy's help and a little bit of Dan Norris the cabinet maker in the mix.
