This is the traditional floor we put in that boat. You are free to do what ever works for you.
I'll find the photo of the foot release install tomorrow. We attach the release to a 3/4in board, cut the board to fit between the bottom frames. We then attach a 3/4 x 3/4 cleat to the top of each end of the board and once it in place we bolt the cleats to the frame. When you see the photo you will see how easy it is and the leverage from the way the cleats are attached to the frame make it secure.
Where is the best place to start triming the fly line deck to fit. I was thinking there may be a way to "scribe to fit"? Getting ready to wrap this project up.
Voluteering friday to help put together a "full scribed Adirondack Leanto" 8 miles back in on Bear Pond. They are flying in the peaces tomorrow with a helicopter. Whish I had been around to see the logs scribed. Just found out about it today. Prebuilt and disassembled to fly in. Plan on building a full scribe log hunting camp. Just read The Log Construction Manual and Alaskan Log Homes, both were great reads. So little time................
Randy,
Did you ever find a pic of the foot release? I'm working on incorporating a regal release into a similar foor to the one you posted above. Thanks.
