Sanding the panels to exact duplicates. Got the panels on the stem. Wasn't to hard, took we a while to get things proped up just right to get the second panel on. Dry fiting some frames prior to installation. Have the transom on and all the frames but number one in. Need to get back to scarfing joints. Have the chine log notches cleaned out. haven't glued up the chine logs yet but dry fitted a piece, looks like that will go smooth. Plan to try and utilize the miter saw for cutting the stem and transom angles on the chine. Will try it out on some scrap. The saw has a lazer and you can litteraly shave a hair off a board. been at it for about two weeks. Randy has answered a hundred question. Have really been enjoying it. More pics when the rool is done.

Thanks, it the 15.5 . My river (West Canada Creek) has tough access so I wanted a little boat. The barn was falling down, so about 6 years ago we decided to save it. Bought a sawsall and tore down about half of it. Hired one of my buddies and his boys to build a big L (14x60) around the remaining milking parlor and haymow. It's a small barn, probly only had 6 -8 cows.Sided it with Tamarac board and batten to match the old. Will send a pic of the outside soon. The wife (Amy) did a good job of landscaping. I had been meaning to build the benches for a while and this boat project got me off my butt.

Very cool - looks like an ideal space to build.

It is so fun to see the shape of the hull when you pull the sides together with the frames...
Have you decided on how you plan to finish the boat?

Hi Jason:

I wanted to tell you I've been following your post and your boat is beatiful.

Iplan to varnish everything but the chine log and frames, they'll get oil. Your from the great lakes region correct. Hopefully my boat will see some Lake Ontario Steelhead next winter.
