Ken, I shot several hundred photos and will be uploading to my computer this week and posting some of them. Email me your address, mine's posted above and I can send you pictures if I have them of you and your brother if I have any. Remind me of what boat you were in.

What a great time and great group of people!!
I know there were pics shot... Will they be posted, or is there a way to see them; there were a couple of shots taken of my brother and me at a couple of holes and it would be special for us to have one of those.
Again, many thanks for a great event!
There are a couple of very nice campgrounds East of Eagle Rock Lodge on the McKenzie Hwy. and on the river. There is a USFS campground at McKenzie Bridge at about milepost 50. There is another, called Paradise, which also USFS, at about MP 54. West of Eagle Rock Lodge is a state campground called Ben and Kay Dorris which is on the highway and the river. Technically, it is day use only. I walk my dog there every morning, and there are frequently people there who camped overnight. It is at MP 29, so real close to the lodge. Finally, there is a motel at McKenzie Bridge.
Blue river is the closest place to go and stay to the boat show other than the lodge, my family and I willl be there again this year and maybe even be there a few days early just to have an extended camping trip. Ben, it is only about 40 minutes from Sisters
Ben, I believe we have been using the Blue River area and the Lookout campground at the following URL is what I remember. http://www.fs.usda.gov/detailfull/willamette/recreation/camping-cab...
Robb Grubb and AJ have stayed there many more times than I so let's see what they say. Blue River is on your way to Vida from the Sisters area. Mike Baker lives in that area and might be a good resource for learning the town and such. There is also a campground called Mona at the reservoir. Check with AJ and Robb for confirmation.

This may work out perfect. I am starting an internship in Sisters, OR May first. Hoping to leave Colorado by the 25th of April, stay in ID the night of the 25th, make it to OR the 26th. Is there a good place I could stay/camp that night so I would be close for the festival?
I cant wait to meet all you wonderful woodenboatpeople that have helped me so much!
P.S. Anyone living in Sisters or Bend need a roommate, or know of someone who does, or have a backyard they can share for a bit? :)
Looking forward to going to the first wooden boat festival. Hopefully my drift boat will be done
Last year was my first time at the festival as well. I hope one day to bring my boat to share (if I ever get it fixed).
See youse guys there!

I attended my first Wooden Boat Festival last year. I enjoyed the event very much and look forward to seeing all the beautiful floating works of art. See you there.
Can hardly wait!
