Years ago, I saw a launch assist device advertised (I think it was Clackacraft) on their trailers. When you were ready to get the boat off the trailer, you would stomp down on a foot pedal, which…Continue

Noooo! Had to store the boat outside for 1 1/2 years. Tightly tarped to protect it but somehow water got inside. Now I have mold from stem to stern. Bought one of those "cloth" garages so it is protected but somewhat "open". Looking to move soon. Hopefully will find a place with a shop so I can work on it.

I had the Out West boat at that show in 2008 after meeting and talking with Roger Fletcher at a fly fishing show in Seattle. Every other boat that year was a vintage drift boat or a new, traditional McKenzie style boat, and I really felt out of place. I think they were looking for traditional examples, so I haven't been back. We have taken it to Depoe Bay one year and to the Wooden Boat Show at Port Townsend twice. I appreciate your kind comments!
