First, I want to thank everyone for the loads of info I've been able to find on this forum.  Impressive how much knowledge is being shared here.  We definately could not have completed this project without your willingness to pass along years of building expertise.

After years of admiring every drift boat I watched float by on the river while casting from the bank, I fell in love with the wood boats.  I think they're just flat out sexy.  Finally got tired of thinking about it and decided that a boat build would be a cool father son project.

In between job, sports, family events, etc. we finally finished our 16' Standard built from Don Hill plans.  After a test float on the lake, we enjoyed a beautiful day fishing the Snake River.  Here are a few pictures of the finished product (I may need to clean sawdust off my phone camera ).
