Hi guys,

Do I need a strongback to assemble my drift boat?  I have the ribs, transom and bow stem ready to go.  Are stainless steel screws the best choice for assembly?

Can you recommend a guide or set of instructions to help me put this together?

Thank you!

You do not need a strong back but I would recommend getting some instructions. I’ve got plans from Mike Baker, Don Hill, Ray’s and Tatman.  Mike Baker hands down has the best instruction and plans.  He is on this site.

Thanx Gregg!

I'd recommend getting a copy of Roger Fletcher's book "Drift Boats and River Dories". There are also several good, detailed assembly blogs on this site. One is here.
