Any idea what this roll on trailer would be worth?  I have no idea what to price it at if I decide to sell it so I figured I'd get some estimates from you guys for a starting point. Everything is in good shape including tires with no rust.

Jon,

Where are you selling it and does all of the electrical work?  Both will have an impact on value.  Also, how old is it?

Greg

All the electrical works and i'm not sure how old, probably 5 or 6 years.  I'm located in Utah.

how wide is the axle spread?

And where at in Utah, I am starting to looking for a trailer for my build,

and I may be interested if you are not too far away.

Greg

From inside tire to inside tire it is 6 feet.  I am located in Kaysville.

Is there a suspension system? How many trailers are available in Kaysville? What is the market like? I just bought a smaller trailer with a bed rather than a roller system at the front of the trailer. It was solidly built and I think I got a good deal for $500 in the Vancouver, WA area.

In my opinion a quality used trailer in the Spokane/Northwest area will probably go for about $1,000. I had been shopping for a trailer for several months and feel that would be a good price. Since i don't know the Kaysville market trailers may be more scarce the prices may be higher. In my opinion a suspended trailer which yours doesn't appear to be would be harder on my boat and I would pay less. So take my opinion for what you paid for it, hopefully it will help you.

A friend of mine that sells Baker galvanized drift boat trailers said his costs for acquiring the trailers has recently increased by couple of hundred dollars because of the cost of materials and fuel and transportation costs. So the prices for used trailers should soon increase.

I believe the trailer has a torflex axle, making it more desirable for driftboats etc than a leaf-spring trailer. Smoother ride, especially on dirt roads and washboard, but also more expensive.

It looks good.  There is a growing group of people building drift boats and white water boats in Utah.  A new one will be around 1700.  I would ask around 1000.

I priced out a scratch build on a trailer with leaf springs, not torsion axle, and the total was somewhere around $800 or $900.  I would assume you could get $1,000 without much issue.  The real key is the condition of the bearings, hubs and axle.  If those are in good shape whoever buys it won't have much to argue about.

Tax return season is a good time to sell!
