- I'm a 71 y/o guy who built one of Greg Tatman's boats years ago. It is a 17' version in meranti plywood. I followed Greg's instructions and encapsulated it in epoxy, and 6 coats of spar varnish. The boat has always been in my garage under a cover so it's in great condition. Health problems have kept me out of the rowing business, so I'm ready to sell the boat. I'd like to find someone who appreciates being in the prettiest and best boat on the river. Jim

Greg Tatman 17" drift boat for sale
I am a 71 y/o flyfisherman from the SF Bay area. I built one of Greg's kits (great guy) a number of years ago. I used the meranti ply. Encapsulated it as he instructed with two coats of epoxy and 6 coats of varnish. I wasn't happy with the original foredeck (lines kept slipping down thru the open corners, so I built a deck which completely covers the bow.
