"Sure can, it's a plate that is sits behind my anchor bracket and goes out to the corner of the transom. Then I put wood on it to make easier to clamp the motor. I started with a 30ft lb motor with an extended mast. Picture coming tomorrow."

Craig, Thanks for your info on your boat.Your boat is one of the best I've seen. Im hoping to start building this summer but Im not sure what size I need. I need something big enough for 2 kids and my wife and your boat looked just about the right size. Im going to try to build from plans, maybe Mike Bakers' but Im still on the fence which way to go. Im located here in the southeast and a rapid robert has crossed my mind since there is little to no white water on the rivers I float and water can get skinny late in the year unless Im floating the tailwaters. Thanks again.

Hello Craig-

Good to hear from you.  It was nice to meet you and your wife, and of course your wood beauty at the boat festival. You certainly had the best boat there. You must be very proud.  Some dude asked about your boat on the website of a picture I had posted of your boat. Interestingly enough, I, too am planning a drift down the Clack to chase the elusive Springers probably early next week.  How is the Clack these days?

Craig, im not sure yet if i will be floating Friday or not, if your floating in the parade with us most of us will be able to show you the correct line to run and if you are not comfortable running any white water its pretty easy to avoid on this run too. All and all its a pretty safe run on the Mckenzie for novice boaters. Hope to see you there!
