Have been building a 16 ft. double ender from a Roger Fletcher plan and finally put her in the water today. Have been reading various discussions over the past year and some of them influenced the final design and outcome. Anyhow we tried the boat out in the Columbia River (B.C.) in the last free flowing section left. Easy water but a good place to set the oar blocks and get the feel. Looking forward to many years of pleasure and for those discussions on advise and information gathering. Threw in a few photos.

Congratulations and very well done Richard!! Love the finished product - you must be very pleased!! Would love to see that boat on some local water... come on down for the Wooden Boat Festival next spring - you would enjoy it.
Really like your knee braces by the way!!

You have built a beauty! Looks like you were up near Kettle Falls. Great work and a good looking boat.

Welcome to Wooden Boat People.

Awesome job! Your boat has some beautiful contrasts going on.
Yes, beautiful boat and a great finish. Looks like Island Oars is that right?

I second Greg's suggestion of coming to next year's show. Third Saturday in April on the McKenzie River at Eagle Rock Lodge.

Keep the photos coming. They are great to watch.
Thanks for the comments and congrats.I have thought of attending Wooden Boat Festival a few times but I am usually off hiking, biking and some kayaking at that time of year in the south-west USA. Also a long ways to haul a boat but I do plan to attend sooner than later so thanks for the invite.

Yes the oars are from Island Oars. I ordered 3 and so far have only received 2. Paul the owner seems a nice guy but not sure if he has fallen on hard times or stiffed me as no replies to emails. NIce oars though!

Have good and safe times on the water.
