Hello all fellow wood boat enthusiasts.

The following is a summary of the Hops and Heritage Festival that occurred this past weekend in Independence, Oregon.  Awhile back organizer Roger Fletcher sent out a message for wood boats to represent the history of the famous Mackenzie River designs. It was my pleasure to be part of this rewarding event.  There were many fun parts about this festival but probably the most fun was watching kids build their own wood boats and sailing them.

The following is a report by Roger.
