Ok 43 years of paint removed. Next 60 grit sanding to remove all paint then repair to #2 and # 10 bottom rib where apparently the boat and a rock had a disagreement over territory. Plan on epoxy glue in the bottom fracture and glassing it. And then epoxing the ribs. After cleaning up the bottom I plan on appling a line X type coating. As far as the insides Im kicking around either a varnish or a oiled finish. The boat will be stored in a boat shed out of the weather. I am a bamboo fly rod builder and really like the looks of a varnish finish. Winter plan is to rebuild the seats out of Port Orford cedar.
