Thanks to all of you who respond to my questions-you are a great resource!I am ready to install seating in my 15' rapid Robert and not knowing how it sits in the water yet I am wondering if any one has any ideas how to mount my seating so it is level in the boat (front to back) when it is sitting in the water static position empty.I have made mounting brackets, and seating platforms and would like to get this part done  avoiding a wet test.Thankyou to all who respond-Dreu

wet test is really the only sure way.But if your configuration allows the seats/benches to be slid back and forth then chances are you'll be OK.

When your boat is sitting on a level floor it should be close to level on water. The boat will sink into the water and reach a stable position. When I boat in dirty water the line left on the boat reflects that concept. I have never used a level on any work on my boat although I imagine you could to place the seats.
