Dylan, nice video, thanks for sharing. I haven't floated the Deschutes since 1979. It is nice to see that it is still beautiful downthere!

I attended the Sandy River Spey Clave earlier this year. Greg McMillan did a wonderful presentation alerting us to the conditions under the surface of the water. To quote the Deschutes River Alliance: "On the Lower Deschutes River, hatch timing has been altered and several aquatic insect populations appear to be in decline. Upon initial investigation, these changes may be due to the recent appearance of a new algae proliferation, not previously documented in the river. The algae are responding, based on expert opinion, to a change in water quality. The DRA is aggressively and diligently working to determine the nature and extent of the water quality changes as well as the extent of the algae growth and its consequences."

It was an eye opening presentation to say the least. To become informed of the situation on this beautiful river check out: http://www.deschutesriveralliance.org/.

I hope that some of our members find this helpful.

Nice job on the video. I find it super cool to watch a wood boat go down a river, and that white water is exciting to see. I couldnt help but notice how fast you can row at times, now that is impressive!!! :)

Nice trip and good job on the video.  Thanks

Nice!  Great Job on the video.
