Sitting here watching it snow on The Hanna Platte as she sits upside down in the yard and I know spring is close at hand.  This has me thinking of fishing and floating.  Anyone want to get together for another Colorado River float this year?  Last years was fun and we ran from Pumphouse to State Bridge the second weekend in August.  I was thinking of the same weekend and either the same stretch of river of possibly running from State Bridge to Catamount this year to avoid crowds and hit some less technical as well as different water and help with campsite logistics.

Love to hear from last years crew as well as newcomers.

THIS GUY!!!!  Can't wait to meet up with y'all on the water!

Looks like we'll make it!

We are only going for the day so are planning on floating from Rancho with you all and then taking out at the new Eagle County Two Bridges takeout (4 miles below State Bridge).  We'll bring our own lunch and drinks.

See you at Rancho on the 11th!

Mike

River at 1060 cfs currently and forecast calls for 80 degrees and partly cloudy skies this weekend, fire ban rescinded, lets hope she still floats!

Was out last weekend and floated Radium to Catamount.  The water was clear and the fishing was good.  Can't wait to meet up with everybody on the water!

Only 360 Days till the 2013 Colorado Wooden Boat Float.  Thanks to Greg for making it again this year with Bill, as well as Mike and his wife, Heather, on their Anniversary Weekend, none the less.  Only 3 wooden boats,  buts lots of fun at camp and on the river.  Thanks to my support crew of rubber pushers Tracey and Wendy, Brad and Donna, and our "Safety" Duckier Dave.

Thanks to all this year for pitching in and making a great float and awesome campsite.   Weather was great, flows were perfect at 1,000 cfs, fishing may have been slow but the beer was cold and I think I heard a train go by during the night!

Mark, nice report on the float. Pictures and narrative, the whole shebang. You could almost be in Central Washington on the Yakima River with all that sagebrush. Thanks for sharing.
