"If you decide to remove the rub strip, you'll find it fairly easy to mark the center of the nail head with a centerpunch and drill off the head - that way the rub strip will come off fairly undamaged. "

"I haven't used 20oz triax myself, but you may find it difficult to wrap it up the sides. Louis Sauzedde has an interesting approach to that problem in this video.

David, nice of you to reach out to me.This is my 1st build (from scratch) and am hoping to get it done in time for summer here in colorado.I have the bottom and sides on and will be glassing this weekend.In the meantime I added a used oil burner to my shop stove to get some steady free heat.Pictures to follow when I get time to load them as I don't spend alot of time writing e mails.I look foward to hearing from you-Dreu
